Why Substrate Prep Matters

Perfect floors start beneath the surface.

The most common flooring failure in Pinellas County homes isn't the floor itself — it's the substrate. Our installers always check, grind, fill and level the subfloor before any material goes down. That's why Pegasus floors look perfect a decade later.

Flooring FAQs

Common flooring questions answered.

In Pinellas County's humid climate, engineered hardwood is recommended over solid hardwood for wood looks — it's dimensionally stable in high-humidity environments. For fully wet areas, LVP or large-format porcelain tile are ideal.
